What will our children’s children think?

Posted in Gay by Christopher

Less than a week ago America saw a Black president swarn in, a huge step for a nation that saw coloured people enslaved not too long ago.

How is it that we still do not have same sex marriage recognized? Are we not supposed to be world leaders? Are we not supposed to set an example for the rest of the world? Will there be a time, 50 years down the line when we can see a Homosexual president take charge of the nation? Will we ever be a nation of equals?

It quite possible you probably won’t (be a nation of equal). The American fear of sex, for example, is quite pathological. (By the way, in April 2009 Iceland voted for a new Social Democrat/Left-Green Alliance government with a gay female Prime Minister. I want to say that such a thing would be UNIMAGINABLE in the United States, but then again even ten years ago the idea of a black President of the United States was like science fiction.)
